Abstract:We conducted three interdisciplinary expert interviews on the topic of energy-related investments. In particular, we wanted to know what should be done from the perspective of various disciplines to effectively promote sustainable investments. We interviewed experts from economics, political science and psychology. Overall, there are more similarities than differences between the disciplines. They favour above all packages of measures with strong financial incentives, but which should be designed in a socially just manner.Shortly before the publication of this focal point, the Climate Cabinet of the Federal Government announced the cornerstones for the climate protection programme 2030 on 20.09.2019 https://www.bmu.de/fileadmin/Daten_BMU/Download_PDF/Klimaschutz/eckpunkte_klimaschutzprogramm_2030.pdf , The interviews printed in the focal point booklet were conducted before the decisions of the Climate Cabinet, which is why no reference is made to cabinet proposals such as the fixed price of 10 euros per tonne of CO2 or sector measures to promote energy-efficient renovation. [We still consider the contents of the interviews to be up-to-date and informative, also for the classification of the climate protection programme].Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
